I am a Multi-Instrumental Musician/Composer and Artist currently living in Pennsylvania. I am also a Filmmaker, Video Editor, Producer/Director, and Graphic Designer who has worked on various projects in the arts as well as the corporate sector.
I have created short documentaries and features, most recently focusing on my grandfather, Artist Si Lewen’s legacy. These films also feature my own original musical scores that I solely wrote, performed and recorded. A recent short documentary I created “A Journey: 72 Drawings by Si Lewen” is currently on the 2025 film festival circuit and was selected by the 2025 Independent Shorts Awards. I have a background in creating many music videos as well as video editing/ sound design for multiple non-profit organizations artisans and musicians/ music companies.
My graphic design portfolio on this site shows samples of work I have created for different businesses, organizations, musicians and artists (Logo Design/ Print Layout/ Merchandise Design). I use the full Adobe Suite of design tools for all my work. Please feel free to contact me for inquiries about pricing/rates on commissioned design work (logos/ brochures/ web & print ads/ websites).
I have been drawing and painting since the age of three. I received my Art Education from various schools such as Temple’s Tyler School of Art and Moore College, both in Philadelphia. I earned my degree in Art Studio/Graphic Design at Indiana University of Pennsylvania and studied under the tutelage of respected artist James Nestor. I received my “Instructional 1” Art Education Certificate from Arcadia University in 2012 and am certified as an Art Teacher for grades K-12.
My personal portfolio of artwork is abstract and primarily consists of paintings (oil and acrylic) done on stretched canvas. While my earlier paintings were more influenced by music, my recent artwork has been a departure from previous subjects. My more recent works explore feelings of disconnection and loneliness, and the excitement of finding beauty when traveling between familiar and foreign places. In my paintings, I have my feet planted with one foot in a dream and one foot in reality. I have created large murals for various community organizations in Indiana, PA as well as a non-profit children’s museum in Ft. Washington, PA. I have participated in group shows at Tyler and Moore and in juried shows such as the “8 Artists” show held in Indiana, PA and the North Penn Art Auction held in Lansdale, PA. I held an individual exhibition of my work at Folkeways in Gwynedd, PA in 2009. In 2010 through 2012, I exhibited my work alongside my grandfather’s work (renowned artist Si Lewen) as part of a continual Two-Generational Show at Folkeways in Gwynedd, PA, Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, and Kardon Gallery in Doylestown, PA. Most of the paintings and drawings seen on my site are for sale. You can click on the “Etsy” link page to purchase. If you do not see a painting you are interested in purchasing on my Etsy site, just email or call me. I also do commission work for large-scale murals and portraits.
I am influenced by my grandfather, Si Lewen, who is a respected and renowned artist (www.silewen.com). His amazing work has influenced me over the years, and he has continued to be a mentor to me. I am also influenced by the highly imaginative works of painter Hieronymus Bosch as well as post-impressionist painter Henri Rousseau.
